That said, you have to deal the killing blow for the effect to proc, making it pointless in raids, in PVP, and even when leveling in a group. Significantly increasing the mana regeneration granted by Improved Drain Soul can be useful when you would otherwise lean on Life Tap (such as while leveling), allowing you to keep your health high. Reducing physical damage dealt isn't nearly as useful as dealing damage, increasing cast times, or increasing elemental damage taken, so this spell isn't really worth improving. Warlocks have access to a handful of curses, each of which have different impacts on enemies.
